Where to Buy Homestead in Southwest/West U.S.?Hey guys I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I really want to leave the Midwest in the next couple years and have been looking out west. Some place like Northern Nevada, Utah, or Southern Idaho. My big concern is water for my homestead. Can someone steer me in the right direction or area? Worried about rain barrels freezing in winter and well costing too much. I really just want to have my own small place that is somewhat sustainable. I'm pretty handy having grown up farming, trapping, and working outdoors my whole life. I have confidence I'll be able to figure it out. Any input on locations or recommendations would be great! Thanks!
