Longtime lurker saying "hi"

Hello to all. I've lurked on and off here for years and finally decided to make it official. Most likely I won't have a whole lot to say or add, but wanted to be able to "thank" people for their posts and you have to be a member to do that. I've learned a lot and it's always interesting to read different perspectives.

Born and raised in rural Minnesota, transplanted to Colorado, married into Wyoming (been here 21 years now). Married with two teenagers, two mutts, and an elderly cat. Have worked in health care since my early 20's.

Mostly, I consider myself a prepper wanna-be. My main prepping goal is to be ready for the potential loss of income/job loss (it's happened to several folks we know and was devastating), with regard to food stocks, toiletries, pet food, etc. For the most part, my family thinks I'm nuts but I think they are slowly starting to come around.

If I ever won the lottery, I'd probably go off the prepping deep-end.
