Question about large cans of Mountain House

I have had an opened can for just at two weeks sit there and be fine. No actual on hand past that. Mountain House claims use within a week for best freshness.

Once cooked I assume it would store the same as would similar left overs.

I usually dont have trouble with the "foods/meals" cans they go quick and often "cook" in them when camping. I had two boys polish off a can of chili mac and still go after hotdogs.

I mostly only get the breakfast cans and store those for ease of use while on outings. I also have the breakfast pouches when it is just me when out on single day events, they now claim to hold the same 30 year life as the cans.
