FDA changes regulations: food labels no longer need to be accurate

As long as it is not a vital part of the food the manufacturers are can substitute the ingredients. For example if a food usually has wheat flour as a small component, it can have corn in it instead and the label need not be changed. HOWEVER, raisin bread must have raisins in it and not chopped up dates, as raisins are vital to raisin bread

Personally, as a person with food allergies, I am NOT happy about this! While the most common allergy foods cannot be added without changing the label, I am allergic to a LOT of foods, not just the most common allergy foods. And I avoid those foods by reading the labels. And now the labels do not need to be accurate
