I'm going to use it to "bring along" a couple people and we are gonna put it and the leftover rice into milar next winter. (Have the milar, not the oxygen absorbers) We've already talked about it.
Got ~100 lbs of sugar sitting on the pallet along with some other stuff.
For the first time in 5 years I have ants around here. Haven't got to the pallet, but got into my apartment.
I bombed the place, and put out DE again, but I don't want to wait till they get to it/come back.
I thought about zip lock bags (sugar is in 4 lb packages, I hit a sale)
But ants can get into that.
Then I remembered I have a 500 count box of zip lock milar. (Each big enough to take a bag of sugar.)
Got them for something else, but I'm thinking stick it in a zip lock (so I can reuse the milar) and then drop them into the milar and stack them back on the pallet for 6 months.
Then we can "learn together" ( I of course just known what I've read off the internet and have "not" put up literal tons of dried goods into milar.) How to put it into long term storage.
Simple, cheap, should work. Make sense?
Short term sugar
