Bullet lube question for cast bullets

Has anyone tried linseed oil with white wax/paraffin mixed in?
Wasn't going for bullet lube at first,just wanted to better weather proof my
deer stand but the stuff solidified right away. Looks and feels like a harder version of beewax.

Let me know what you think about this please.
