Where does a kukri fit in a system?

I'm intrigued with kukri blades, but wonder where they fit in a system?

For around $50-$60 I could buy a second Husqvarna Multi-Purpose Axe or a kukri like the Ontario or Condor Heavy Duty.

I own a Junglas, SP50, and SP9, so where would the kukri fit? I noticed Alan took an axe and a kukri with him on season one of Alone. I'm sure some of that was being limited to 10 items, but it makes me wonder if I should consider adding one to my INCH? I live in the Rockies, so I'm not sure if they would be as useful here as a larger blade.
