Peacetime project with bug in potential

Out at the deer club, i plan on planting a food plot, i am right next to a creek, perhaps needing 10 feet of head.
Think of a solar electric pump, 260 galln tote, and soaker hoses or drip irrigation.

Talk me through this, i think this could be used on the homestead as well.
