Pollution from Military Airfields

Seems to be a big issue in my part of the state lately. We have a closed Air Force at the end of the AuSable River where it empties into Lake Huron and we have a National Guard base and airfield in the middle of the state also on the AuSable River.

Two cities roughly 90mi apart with contaminated ground water sharing a river feeding into the great lakes can't be a good thing.
