Help with DIY ammo case

Do you want cartridge loops or perhaps a pouch that has the ammo inside. Cartridge loops need two bands because 30-06 is rimless - one down on the neck by the bullet and one towards the middle of the case.

Leather will stretch so making the loops undersize is the key. Dowel rod of the proper size is usually used as the pattern.
