Our new house, blackberries and a tractor

My wife and l finally got our property!
5 acres, with a 1 acre clearing in the middle with our house and giant pole barn. The property is in Benzie county Ml, near the Betsie river. So hemlock and hardwood forest, Beautiful! Not the farm we wanted but this was 'The Home'
So we made an offer and they accepted.
Surrounding the entire clearing is about 10 feet thick of blackberry brambles, very heavy with berries. My son ate about 2 pounds and got the squirts....

When we finally make our permanent move in a year and a half, how is the best way to clear some of these out? Or leave it and use as a "fence" surrounding the property? Goats? Burn it out?

Also, we negotiated in an Allis Chalmers 4wd tractor with front end loader and attachments....l assume its like driving a fork lift or skidder?

Let's block ads! (Why?)
