what kind of automotive engine will run on old / dirty gas

well, what kind will run the best of all of them, even if no engine will just run like normal, on old gas?

or, is there some type of engine like a lawn mower engine, or an old engine model, or a kerosene engine, whatever out there would run on old fuel of it's own type?
