I am seeing the Remington 870 magazine fed models advertised in gun publications. Looks like it may become popular with some.
After market components to swap out tube fed pump shotguns to mag fed have been around for a long time. I'm not sure why Remington advertises their new configuration as patent pending.
I've had some experience with the patent process. The petitioner makes a claim as to the uniqueness or revolutionary design of the product when applying to the patent office. Not seeing one here.
