t seems that a government official in Ladysmith is trying to get a handle on the taxi related violence.
When I was in Bloemfontein a few years back, there was a taxi war and one guy who was admitted to the trauma center with gun shot wounds was in the casualty, (ER) and guys with AK-47's reportedly boldly walked into the casualty and told all the staff to leave the room, which they did. These guys then proceeded to finish the job and shot the man while he lay on the gurney and calmly walked out of the hospital.
The way the local people, who now do not have transportation without the taxi's and now the buses have been burned, (probably by the taxi people), are reacting with burning of tyres and blocking the roads with rocks, makes one wonder how it will be possible to get through the major roads when the SHTF? Guess we need to put a snow plow on the front of our vehicles to plow though the stones and tyres.
