I wanted to put this here as a warning to people in southeast Texas. I thought it would get more views here than down on the health board.
Apparently, there are very large numbers of people--children in particular as well as adults, who have a viral conjunctivitis right now. The strain seems to be causing severe pink-eye, and nasal congestion and sore throats. Liberty and Montgomery counties is where I'm talking about. I don't know about other areas.
It is very contagious, and is spreading rapidly, so those in the general area might want to take extra precautions.
I know of 12 different people who have it right now, and none of them related to each other. The only common factor seems to be work and being out in public in general.
Just a heads up.
