Pole House build Off-grid

Hi all - thought I would share our Off-grid build. Just finishing the project after 9 seasons of work. I'll do a few pics of each phase of the project and see if there's any interest. Poles are a good, unique way to build off-grid, and while easier in some respects, can pose problems as well.

We purchased ~5 acres in the SW desert since wifey and I both love the desert, nothing like it and we have been going out and camping since we first met....

First step was to buy the land and acquire the poles, neither an easy task. There is very little land for sale in the part of the desert that we wanted since it is surrounded by State Park and BLM land.

So after we got the land (waiting for 3 years for it to pop up), I also finally got some poles, hired a backhoe operator to plant them and off we go....

Any questions, ask away.......hopefully I can help someone else looking to build off-grid. There was very little help available when I started....
