Damascus Steel knife blanks
I've been looking into making a knife from a Damascus steel. I know some Damascus steel is of better quality than others and a lot of the knife blanks come from places like Pakistan. Looking at the specs, of the blank I'm wanting to get it's 260 layers of 1095 and 15n20 that is hardened to a HRC of 56-58 sounds like it might be an okay knife blank. Bear in mind, this will be my first Damascus steel blade and I don't know a lot about Damascus steel so if someone is up on Damascus steel I'd like to hear from them.
