Why is the first thought that comes to mind is that Facebook would not have vehemently defended its Messenger service from wiretapping if the feds were going after a conservative? Instead, they defended MS-13, who Nancy Pelosi defends as "immigrants."

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what actually happened if the judge unseals the case.

Why was the case sealed at all?

I never trust the motivations of FaceBook or their leadership. Suckerface has repeatedly been caught violating his own privacy policies.
