Help me brace my Draco

I would like brace my Draco. I see the SB brace going for $160+ before taxes and shipping but a non-brace tube, which is aluminum, is $60 before taxes and shipping. Can I just pull one of the brace sleeve off my AR pistol and slide it over the AK tube? I don’t have a clue if they have the same tube diameter so any ownership experience would be greatly appreciated. I have decided to keep a braced AK in the vehicle now until things clear up.
