YOU KNOW you are a prepper when

OK, yesterday I am out in my workshop area and looking through my"stuff" for a scrap piece of steel that I could use for a small welding project without cutting up a different longer piece of steel that could have other applications later in life.

So, as I am digging where I keep the steel, it is also next to where I keep all the paint supplies. I am moving small bins and several of those larger plastic bins with the removable tops that hold about a bushel of material.

I happen to notice this yellow box still in the wrap in behind one of the paint bins.
First thing I see as I pull it out is the price tag of $14.95 on the top next the the 3M packaging info. I turn it around and it is a box of brand new never opened stack of 20 N95 masks.

When this whole virus thing started I went out to the shop and started doing an inventory and found a handful of the N95s along with around 50 of the cheaper version particle masks along with the replaceable filter paint respirators.

Had no recollection of ever buying or having those 3M masks and obviously had no great need for them when I bought them because I never had to get one from the package. Just something I bought to have for when I might need one and it would save me a trip to town. I use them mostly for painting.

Same day at the same time as I am scrounging I also found a full new box of 100 disposable latex gloves. Don't remember buying those either.

SO.. I guess you are a prepper when you find those hard to get items sitting around and you had no idea you had them until you found them while looking for something else.

Really need to keep a running inventory of the shop "stuff".
