Hello all, this is my first post so please take it easy, but I live in California and I'm looking to get a rifle. With all the restrictions I have narrowed my decision down to the Ares SCR in .223/5.56 or the Saiga IZ 132 7.62x39. I plan on using the rifle for a range gun but mostly for overall self protection whether it's a home defense or a shtf situation. I have also considered a shotgun for a overall self protection long gun, I'm always open for suggestions if you prefer a shotgun. I'm really interested in what your decision would be and please explain why you made that choice and why not the others. So the over all decision is between a mossberg 930spx, mossberg 590A1, Ares SCR, or Saiga IZ 132. And I understand these are all "apples and oranges" please do your best to make a detailed decision. Thank you. (I already own Glock 21SF,Glock 30SF, and Charter Arms .38SPL)
