Thinking its possible modern day firestarter’s & petroleum products could become scarce in an extended long duration SHTF situation. I did some research on where I could find/gather some non-grainy flint, chert, and jasper (chalcedony). Then found the locations and gathered a few buckets full for free.
Next up going to have a bunch of strikers CNC/laser cut out of high carbon steel & heat treatment tempered.
Something on the order of the one pictured below.
Might be for naught, but will make good barter stock & gifts.
