Tough Scope on a budget

Hello all.

So here's the deal. I'm thinking about getting a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 5.56 to replace my DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Kalifornia)-legal AR-15 as my truck gun. I like my AR, don't get me wrong, but with a ten round , nonremovable magazine, it's kind of a Mag-dump-and-run system. But, I already have 100 rounds of XM193 in my truck bag. And to tell the truth, I do like 5.56/223. Where I live, it's plenty of gun for just about everything, with the exception of bears and Sasquatch .

Anyway, I'm looking for an inexpensive scope that will survive riding under the back seat of a '95 F-150 on bumpy dirt roads, while still holding some sort of zero. And by inexpensive, I'm talking $150 or less. Preferably, I'd like a small objective, and 1.5x lower magnification, but I'm flexible there. And I'm not looking for clarity and fancy gizmos, so much as something that will just survive and still keep me on paper at 100yards.

Let the suggesting begin!
