5.45x39 at 800 yards

Several months ago, a friend gave me a NIB, SAR2 5.45x39 along with (5) 30 rnd mags. the first time I took it out, I zeroed it at 600 yards and hit consistently. Since this morning was absolutely beautiful (78 degrees, 3% humidity and zero wind), I decided to go out to my favorite place ( I had it all to myself).

I setup in the same spot as in the pic below. We were mostly shooting 300 yard targets, but just before leaving, I decided to try the 800yard, torso size target shown in the pic. Everyone watching was dumbstruck by the results. I was shooting Wolf Military Classic. I aimed at the very top edge of the target and got some very mixed results. The elevation ranged from the top edge of the target to about 12 inches below the bottom of the target and everywhere in between. The windage of ALL the shots was PERFECT. Obviously, the difference elevation was caused by varying powder loads in the ammo.

I had no idea that the little 5.45 cartridge could reach out to that distance with
semi-reasonable accuracy. Anyone else shoot 5.45 at semi-long range? If so...what was your results?
