An unconventional choice for SHTF/HD shotgun?

Hi all,

I've been looking to make my first shotgun purchase for HD/SHTF.

I've been comparing two in particular and wonder what's better from an SHTF/durability point of view:

Mossberg 590 9-shot (12ga, 20in)
Vs
Weatherby PA-459 TR 7/8 Shot (12ga/18.5in) - http://ift.tt/2eSxEmH

Logically I know most would say the Mossberg, and heck the 590 is built sturdy.

However, I noticed the Mossberg here is Matte Blued finish whereas the Weatherby has a chrome plated bore.

Isn't the matte blue not a durable finish? I've read chrome is one of the best for durability.

Durability is my main concern: if one is vastly superior I'll go with that one.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
