Bare minimum kit for off grid adventure

maybe Jerry can get his lists going, but usually they are LONG.. which is good .. that guy doesn't miss much.

Lets say you wanted to disappear for a while . Drop off the Grid.
(no im not in trouble.. just always make plans)

whats the BARE essentials needed.. Lets say you have cases of #10 cans of MH food and wheat, rice .. whatever .. water or filters to deal with that.

Beside that what do you need for 1-5 years off grid .

you obviously have to drive/ carry in A TON of food.. but
lets say you didn't wanna carry 4 million items with you ..
what can you get by with minimum ?

and for bonus..
where would be a good place to go ? you see these shows where people are living in the woods. but they dont tell you if they own the land, or just wild camping. Sure most is staged, but is there anywhere in the us this is possible anymore?
