EDC belt pouch

I decided that I needed a pouch for those days I'm not wearing cargo pants or shorts....

Fabric is 14 oz. canvas. Size is 7" tall x 3.5" wide x 3" deep. The zipper is a plastic YKK type that is 9" long and centered in the gusset [which I screwed up BTW, I'll point that out below]. I also made a foam insert to protect my cell phone or other electronics I carry that day.

Here's where I screwed up....

The top [smaller] patch is usually installed to make a "zipper stop" so you don't overextend it. The bigger bottom one is where I messed up...It had to be added because when I measured to cut the slot for the zipper, I miscalculated and cut it too long. Also, the bigger one on the bottom had to be finished off by hand because I couldn't get it into the foot of my machine [height and depth of the arm prevented it].
