How specific do you plan for disasters?

the biggest fallacy of the "reality shows" about preppers was the assumption that all preppers are only preparing for 1 thing; a nuclear bomb, a tornado, a pandemic, etc. Truth is anything might happen and not all are SHTF events effecting the whole dang world. Impossible to predict, but eminently possible to be ready.

A SHTF for you might be; you lose your job (or your ability to provide for your family). Or your car gets stolen (your means of getting to work). Your house burns down (with all your possessions and preps). Your life situation changes requiring you to provide care for spouse, kids, extended family members, etc. Bad, but not bad for everybody, just you. This is far more imaginable and possible for everyone of us than a major SHTF event that effects the whole world.

It doesn't have to be a sharknado type event where society is forever altered. survivalism, prepping, as it were, is a daily lifestyle. I carry 24/7, I have a GHB in the car. I carry a small trauma bag as well as a fire extinguisher.

Those items and the training and mental preparation to use them are prepping 101. They serve me everyday and will serve me when an extinction level event happens.

Bigger SHTF; most likely temporary-weather related disaster or natural phenomenon, Longer term, but recoverable-financial crisis, transpo strike, extended civil disturbance (dollar devalued, stock crash, trump election, etc)
still longer term- civil war, martial law and the predecessor events as well as the sequela that they bring.

OR- a combination of all of these.

POINT IS; prepare for everything, tier your response to adapt to what's necessary.

Pray for the best outcome. Prep out of hope, not fear.
