Riveter for DIY

I'm looking at riveting for some DIY repairs where the other side of the object is not accessible.

1. I do have an air compressor. For low quantity riveting, is it worth it to get an air riveter?

2. Does brand of the riveter matter?

3. What is a good price range per rivet if I buy 500 or something?

4. What kind of riveter/die set/rivet sizes would I need to get started? What are some common ones?

5. Does rivet quality matter?

What I'll be riveting:

1. Pieces of 2x4s.
2. Thin carbon steel (like that of a car body).
3. Vehicle dashboards.

The reason I was thinking about an air riveter is my concern regarding the handles needing to be moved at the time of riveting, possibly changing the placement of the rivet or damaging the materials being joined.

Right now I'm looking at these:
