The fat lady hasn't even cleared her throat

There are many on this forum who are celebrating the result of last weeks election, and on the surface, that's understandable.

The Trump transition moves forward; the dollar is at an all-time high; the markets have advanced seven out of the past eight sessions and the main stream media; leftist protestors, (some paid and some unpaid); and members of the "elite" are in meltdown mode.

In another thread on this board, however, there has been a discussion started basically saying it is not time to relax, but time to remain focused and alert.

To quote from that thread;
"--The forces in opposition are frankly, in all respects, still winning, if you consider their ability to prep the field of battle. Most significantly, they still control ALL/EVERY line of communication, and the medium of that communication--language--with only one notable exception, recently positioned in an advantageous position.
Just a couple of observations from an old curmudgeon...
-The forces in opposition have been dealt a setback. To what degree that setback will affect or modify the intermediate moves remains very much to be seen.
-Further, some early moves by the Orange Knight seem to indicate a minimal effect at rearranging the players on stage. The House of Cards is still ruled by a feckless joker. This does not bode well for a redirection of the peoples' business.
-There may have been a sea change in the manner that communications are disseminated. The Black Knight and his minions made good use of the interwebs through metadata and the Face-Time platform. The Orange Knight, on the other hand, used a 140 character voice of the bird. Has the cadre of good guys learned to use the tactics of anonymous? Is this the beginning of a populist "American Spring"?

-The unorganized movement also seems to have caught on that networking can be done person to person without the need for slavishly following the Ministry of Truth. Is it possible that the unwashed have created their own version of "Newspeak"? If so, that could be considered double-plus good.

Marshall McCluen was the one who said; "The medium is the message". Perhaps the new parables will be 140 characters."

Aside from the expected push back from the democrat operatives and the echo chamber droning of both print and broadcast media, there were a few things that shouted out to me in the "news" coverage today setting of alarm bells:

- Facebook has begun a policy of suspending accounts of those they determine indulge in hate speech. The "alt-right" crowd as the term it. There has, however, been no attempt to suspend tweets from Louis Farrakhan; Black Lives Matter; The Congress of Islamic American Relations; ISIS or MoveOn. It seems as though it only rises to the level of hate speech if the subject does not agree with the progressive agenda. If as Marshall McLuhan said, the medium is the message, it looks like the elites who control the new media are looking to squash the populist message sent by the supporters of the President elect.

- Once again, administration talking heads in the "intelligence community" are reiterating that it was a hacking attack against the Clinton campaign that resulted in the leaking of emails which highlighted the chicanery and illegal election fixing of the democrats. The intelligence wonks are repeating the Joe Biden threat that we will retaliate with a cyber attack on Russia. Are we being set up for a false flag incident prior to the inauguration? Perhaps a "grid-down" incident that we blame on the Russian bear and a "justification" for a delay in the transfer of power or possible martial law?

- Democrat mayors of so-called "sanctuary cities", (and in the case of Los Angeles, the chief of police), have gone to the airwaves stating that they will defy and attempt to arrest and hold illegal aliens if ordered to do so by the Federal government. Under the 10th amendment the Feds cannot order local authorities to cooperate, but there is another path to encourage cooperation... specifically harboring of a federal fugitive. That, however, is not the point. By openly defying the removal of felons, these "public servants" are suborning conditions that will most likely lead to open rebellion and chaos.

While it is true that the people have spoken truth to power; while it is true that Donald J Trump is the president elect, we are not out of the woods yet.

The shadow government is still very much in evidence, so a wise person would keep their tin-foil chapeau handy. I used to be a skeptic, but I am no longer that optimistic.

It has been said that the opera isn't over until the fat lady sings... she hasn't even cleared her throat yet!

Let's block ads! (Why?)
