Please, no politics. And... this isn’t about whether global warming is read -or- if a mini ice age is possible, it’s a “theoretical” discussion about “what if both?”
I'm reading articles that say the Polar Vortex is weakening and that can cause parts of North America and Eurasia to get colder. as well as a lower solar minimum then normal for the next 2-3 solar cycles... which usually spells mini ice age.
Then other articles saying that that part of the artic is insanely warm ( link ). 36°F warmer than normal!
So, the question is... what if both ?!
I think about six months ago, the jet stream crossed the equator and that's super odd, yeah? I think the article suggested that if the stream regularly crossed the equator, that would lead to the loss of seasons and that could hurt food production.
Any one know about this kind of stuff and want to speculate on what the planet would look like with some parts of it way colder and some way warmer than it should be?
Take wind for example, would we have hurricane type winds in places that shouldn't, nor are prepared for it? Would wind speeds in hurricanes regularly get to 200mph instead of the 'normal' devastating ones of 150mph?
What happens to the weather? what about crops and growing seasons? Would our global food supply be devastated until a new normal is found and growing industry adjusting?
what if... Global Warming -and- Mini Ice-Age?
