On the face of it the driver looks guilty. A man who hit protestors in his car is charged with a felony. But look closer.
The driver was trying to peacefully circumvent a protest group and honks his horn to clear the way. The protestors surround the car and start to bash it. Likely fearing for his life the driver bulls his car though, only to be arrested a block later by cops for felony fleeing.
What choice did the man have? It was self defense. He didn't try to ram a crowd. He just wanted through on a public thoroughfare and was attacked for it.
The protest? This one is rich. It's to protest the police killing of a black transgender who pulled a knife and put one cop in the hospital.
The place? St. Louis. Where else would sanity take a vacation?
