Mandarin oranges expiration?

Anyone have any experience with mandarin oranges packed in juice in plastic containers? They're my fruit of choice.

I just pulled some out to rotate, and noticed the expiration date of July 7, 2017. Anyone have an idea if these would be safe, and maybe how long past the expiration date?

I could be wrong, but they might have looked a little off to me. I'm very frugal, but wouldn't want to risk sickness for a few dollars. Thanks!
