Cashier at store: I do not care if I get Coronavirus

Went to the local dollar to pick up a bag of dog food - yes I was wearing PPE mask.

While checking out I told the lady they should have plexiglass between them and the customer. The lady told me dollar store would not buy the glass, and she did not care if she caught it.

I almost said something to her along the lines of: You are contagious several days before you show symptoms, you can infect dozens of people in your job. But, I bit my tongue and went on my business.

Then again, not saying anything enables bad behavior. I do not know if she is dumb, or just uneducated about the dangers of Coronavirus.

Wife sprayed my hands with homemade Everclear hand sanitizer before I got in the car.

I feel her attitude is exactly why we have been unable to contain the Coronavirus plague. We have a lot of elderly and retired people in the area, which Coronavirus could be deadly. Well, Coronavirus has been shown to be deadly to even healthy people.

There was so much wrong with the interaction:

• Company not installing plexiglass between the employee and customer
• Employees not given PPE - no mask no gloves
• Attitude of the employee was terrible, and I feel uneducated
