Gold Tip XTHunter 5575 vs. Gold Tip Hunter XT400

Just got back into shooting the compound (it was in the case for 4-5 years). I have a 16 older (10 years?) 5575 and when I couldn't find any more, everybody said the Hunter xt400 is the same thing....so I bought a half dozen.
Well they are not really the same...
The 400's are averaging about 10 grains heavier (exact same length) and the raptor vanes on the 400's are about 0.010 thicker then the old Vane Tec vanes at the edges.
The 400's also leave the bow at 280/281 FPS
The 5575's leave the bow at 283/284 FPS
NOTE: BOW is a 2010 Quest Primal 60# with Code Red Drop Rest and G5 optix 3 pin plus one moveable pin hybrid.

We are shooting out to 110 yards to get ready for the Big Sky Total Archery challenge and at about 60 yards the differences become critical.
At 85 yards, I put my moveable bottom pin (hybrid) at 90 and they drop right into the bullseye on a 12" wide by 10" vital zone (so 5" drop). Of course it progresses from there.
I have ordered 90 grain tips to try but has anyone else experienced this difference, have they shortened the arrows, been OK dropping 10 grains in the tip, or am I still headed for problems either with changing the spine due to shorter length (1/4, 3/8, 1/2") or with drag on those thicker vanes regardless of what I do?
I guess they switched the model and vanes in 2015.
Anybody have any experience with this change?
Other than buying 18 new arrows for $180 does anybody have any advice?
