getting threatening calls

For last few weeks, I am getting anonymous calls from a private number and the number doesn’t show up on call logs. He asked me to meet him next week. I am also getting threatening texts. He knows my home address and I am afraid to go to office leaving my wife alone at home. I’m afraid to inform the police too. Last day, he called me and told me to leave the country within 24 hours. I don’t know what to do. My friend suggested me to hire some private investigators and I’m planning to hire Investigation Hotline http://ift.tt/2aL6zmH. Does this make the situation bad? Please help me with your suggestions.
