It depends on the thread. I constantly see people resurrect an old thread where the OP asked a question, and someone comes along 5 years later and answers it. If the OP hasn't gotten his answer by now, I'm sure he's given up. Or as Old Soldier said, the ones that resurrect a thread just to add a meaningless reply to it. Especially if that thread had no real content to begin with which is usually the case.
If it's a thread full of good information that new members might benefit from, then resurrecting it is a good thing. Especially if it's to add more information to it.

Folks, when starting a thread, please take a moment and consider which forum that thread belongs in. Disaster Preparedness is for disaster preparedness discussions only. There are forums for gun posts, news, politics, general discussion, etc. Please try to start threads in the right forum. This makes the site better for all of us. Thanks.
