He asked me to appraise some reloading stuff that he found and while doing so I ran across this little gun.
It appeared to be locked up so on a whim I offered him $30 for it and he didn't hesitate.
I got it home and took the cylinder out and the gun will "cycle" meaning you can pull the trigger and everything appears to function. Once you install the cylinder however the gun will not function.
From the serial number I have gathered that it's a 1952 gun with the short barrel (approx 2")
Does anyone have any idea what the deal is? I'm assuming that it has something to do with the pawl or the cylinder stop as no matter how hard you pull the trigger the gun will not function. The hammer will move slightly rearward but the cylinder will not rotate allowing the gun to function.
I'd really like to get this gun functioning as a pocket snake gun for the wife.
