living offgrid vs visiting.

Now, due to my injuries and limited number of "steps" I can take each day I joke that I'm an "efficiency expert" but I've lived offgrid in my house for a year+ now, and spent a good chunk of time living offgrid in my Airstream in the 3 years before that.

I had the GF out this weekend and friends out today.
(They helped me start to put in a turkey run, and I taught them canning.... we canned up a couple dozen pumpkins I grew)

It's AMAZING at how I conserve resources (like turning off the water, and turning out the lights) as a matter of routine, and they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT!

Americans are SO WASTEFUL! (And there's are not wasteful people!)

I will have to plan a time delay for these "good habbits" should the need exist. (Which is the point of my post)
