What is the yield on turkeys

Y'know, I do this every year. I get several birds just after Thanksgiving (when they're the cheapest) and half-cook them up on the wood grill, then can the meat. Use it to make soups, stews and turkey ala king the rest of the year. It's great.

But truth to tell, I've never weighed it or measured how much each bird yields in actual meat! Never even counted (and remembered) how many jars of each I get. I just do it.
