Take a mountain bike(s) with you. No cell signal or just weak signal? If just weak, get yourself a cell phone signal booster. They're expensive, but worth every penny! Fracking out in West Texas in some very remote areas, they were a necessity. I swear by them! Don't waste your money on the under $200 models, they don't work very well. My work truck was the go to place to make a call/send a text/browse the web when you didn't otherwise have signal.

I would not separate from her. Either both stay or both go. If you don't have comms, or spare parts, like TRyan said, I would seriously rethink going at all.
