Minimalist living

How many here practice that lifestyle, whether by necessity or by choice? What I mean, is not having a lot of material possessions, borrowing (whenever possible) instead of buying, able to pick up and move in a relatively short amount of time, or able to leave things behind quickly. Also includes not having a lot of recurring financial obligations, or being tied down to a lot of commitments, investments, and property.

If you live this way, do you find it liberating, or hard?
