IFAK items to add to Adventure Medical Kit .5, what shears, other?

I’m putting together a IFAK for my family and me for day hikes in Colorado. I’m an Eagle Scout ( many years ago) with hiking and first aid training (through Scouts). After some research, I think I’ll start with the AMK 0.5 kit and add a RAT tourniquet and some shears. Maybe a few more butterfly closures. I already pack a headlamp and survival blanket.

Can you recommend any shears? The Madison brand seems to get the best reviews but they look a little big.

What other items should I add?
