What do you guys think about buying property on a large lake? I love the idea of having access to so much fresh water and everything that goes with that (and the view is pretty great too) but I'm wondering about security... do you think the water provides more of a security risk since boaters can come up to your property much easier than trekking through the woods? If you chose to live on a lake, what security measures have you taken? Cameras is what is stuck in my mind. FWIW this area does not have a large population and is surrounded by a couple of small towns. Thanks!
