I dont expect many to make it, as they will become root bound in my peat pots before the weather warms up, and I can transplant. We still have snow expected for the next ten days on and off. I dont want to make final transplant any plants that may be a bit shocked now. Early plant development needs to happen on time or you can expect reduced yields.
So I plan to wait another week and start another set inside, and see how my weather is in another 4 weeks. This will cause me to have to start a 3rd backup set....
I always start backup sets incase of things like weather, or garden pests birds/rabbit/nutria etc. Most of the time they just go to compost or I will guerrilla a few and see what happens. It is tough to get a harvest if you lose everything at day 45 and have to start over.
Seed sets... jumped the gun
