Adding frame/framesheet and belt to an assault pack?

I own a Red Rock Assault pack that I mostly use for hunting. I like the pack, but I think it could be a bit more capable and modular with a better waist belt and maybe a framesheet to give the pack a bit more support.

Here is the pack: http://redrockoutdoorgear.com/assault-pack/

The back panel is padded but no structure. The belt is only 2" webbing.

Here is a video (not me) showing the pack better. Jump to time points 3:10 to see the belt, 4:24 to see the exterior pouch, and 6:38 to see the internal pocket on the back panel:

For a frame or framesheet, I was thinking about something like this that could go in that exterior pocket, or slip inside:

Problem with a framesheet is that if placed internally, it blocks the interior pocket on the back panel. If it goes in that external pouch, I would have to use a narrower version that won't quite support the width of the pack.

A homemade frame should fit discretely inside the pack and not block the pouch; I'm thinking aluminum tubing like you see in modern tents bent in a rectangle matching the internal perimeter of the bag, and maybe the contour of my back.

For the belt, I was looking at these options to thread the existing belt into a more substantial padded belt that would support any weight better:

Minimalist, no PALS webbing:

More than the pack is worth but beefy:

The happy compromise?:

I'm curious to know if anyone has modded an existing pack like this, and did it help? I'm not looking to make this a load hauler, just a bit more comfortable and capable.

Thanks!
