Pandering Pelosi Removes Portraits of House Speakers

Piglosi is at it again. Yesterday she removed the portraits of four Speakers of the House for supporting the Confederacy.

In 1867 President Andrew Johnson pardoned these men and the nation spent 153 years reconciling and healing. Now, Pelosi decides to wipe out this part of our history with her blatant pandering.

Charles Crisp was a teenager when he served in the Confederate Army and became Speaker almost 30 years after the Civil War. This makes no sense at all like most things that Pelosi does.

Pelosi has been in Congress for over 30 years and she is just now deciding to do this. If people don't see this for the despicable pandering that it is we are done for as a country.

BTW, all four were DEMOCRATS!

Portraits of former Confederate leaders removed from Capitol

"WASHINGTON — Portraits honoring four former House speakers who served in the Confederacy were removed Thursday after Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared that the men "embody the violent bigotry and grotesque racism of the Confederacy.″

Pelosi directed the House clerk to oversee the immediate removal of portraits depicting former speakers from three Southern states: Robert Hunter of Virginia, James Orr of South Carolina and Howell Cobb and Charles Crisp, both of Georgia.

Calling the halls of Congress "the very heart of our democracy,″ Pelosi said, "There is no room in the hallowed halls of Congress or in any place of honor″ to commemorate the Confederacy. ..."
