They are now generally available even in the pnw. As low as $.99/ lb but usually $1.49. Now as a special event they bring in a roaster for a day, I usually just throw on the BBQ.
I was thinking of going, is it worth it? Or wait for best price and process myself? Freezer space is limited. Do you just ziplock?
Do you use water when peeling or does that strip away smokyness?
