Lone suspect killed in anti-terrorism operation in southern Ontario

This was a sad situation, but pretty amazing they were able to intervene at just about the last possible moment before it got a lot worse. Yet had they moved in much earlier, there might have been nothing to charge him with.

I don't know if the OP's article mentioned that the SWAT team showed up just as the guy was leaving in a taxi, that he had 2 IED's, one of which he detonated in the cab before police moved in, that the cabbie was slightly injured, but likely saved from being killed by the 2nd device.

Also worth noting is that the local mosque had apparently taken note of this young man's extremist views, had not only tried to engage him, but also notified police some time ago. But it sounds like it was the FBI who picked up on the martyrdom video and signalled the urgency of the situation.
