Optimum Weaponry for Traveling On Foot

Will you be hunting, hiking, exploring, or bugging out? I have seen backpacks that have a wheel on the back that will help that you pull behind you strapped to your shoulders. The wheel carries much of the weight.

I have also seen home made carts, kind of like a golf caddy cart that attaches to your weight, but the center of the weight would be over the wheels. This allows you to carry more equipment while only carrying one weapon. Tent, sleeping bag, extra food, etc would be on the cart.

If you are just hunting a cart would be nice to haul meat out. Survival another matter.

Why a crossbow for your main weapon? Why not a rifle?
